A new word I read today, Apotheosis..What does it mean?
apotheosis means literally the raising of a person to the rank of a god, or the glorification of a person as an ideal. I read it in The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.
The example I read was of the apotheosis of washington. A painting in the U.S. Capitol..Here it is,
